New Beginnings: About Riddhi & Luminari Interiors
As human beings, we can’t help but be multifaceted, dynamic, and, well, colorful. In my two decades in the financial services industry, an industry not known for its creativity, I learned that it’s possible to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-budget projects while, yes, maintaining a sense of creativity.
When that chapter of my life closed, I felt passionate about leading with creativity rather than keeping it on the backburner, one of the many reasons, in addition to motherhood, that I felt called to pursue interior design path. That’s why I started Luminari Interiors, a boutique interior design firm in Williston, Vermont that caters to both residential interior design and commercial interiors in New England and beyond.
While many think of design as a solitary experience that simply addresses the needs of the client, I view my interior design philosophy differently, using my collaborative tendencies and appreciation for the diversity of cultures as a source of inspiration. Rather than viewing the client and their space as separate entities, I’m proud of my ability to weave together my client's taste, personality, passions, heritage, and lifestyle into design, creating spaces that are not only functional and beautiful, but highly personal and meaningful.
About Me
My journey into the world of design was sparked by my upbringing in India, a country known for its rich architecture, opulent textiles, and vibrant cultural tapestry. Growing up in India, it’s impossible not to notice how color works its way into the everyday, and how spaces are informed by their design. Today, my Indian roots continue to serve as a wellspring of inspiration, infusing my work with diverse elements, such as color and texture.
The Luminari Methodology
My approach to design is guided by the Luminari Methodology, a visual amalgamation of one’s life's story, their individual taste, personality, passions, heritage, and lifestyle. Unlike the neutral, bland spaces that cater to a variety of people, such as the corporate office, the anonymous hotel suite, or the sterile waiting room, I believe that our personal spaces are meant to serve as a reflection of ourselves and our brands. As a result, my commitment to my clients is to craft effortlessly eclectic, artful, and highly personalized interiors using the highest quality products possible. By keeping the Luminari Methodology in mind, I give myself permission to get to know my clients and create spaces that serve as reflections of them or their business brands.
